The climate of Jodhpur is hot during its dry season. Temperature remains high from March to October. It crosses 40 degree celcius from April to June. During Mansoon season it decreases slightly.

It is situated at a hill and is surrounded by massive walls. The fort has palaces like Sheesh Mahal (Glass Palace ) and Phool Mahal (Rose Palace).The palaces, museums and the galleries attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world. Nagnecha mataji temple, Chamunda temple, Rao Jodha desert , Rock park are the other tourist attractions in Mehrangarh fort.
Umaid Bhawan Palace
Umaid Bhawan Palace is a beautiful tourist attraction for the visitors. At present the 347 room palace is divided into three parts. One part is the residence of the royal family where no tourists are allowed to enter, the second part is converted into museum which is the collection of arms, photographs and many other possessions of the royal family and the third part is converted into a five star hotel , which is one of the most popular hotels in Jodhpur. There is a beautiful lush green garden full of variety of flowers in front of this palace, which makes it a unique site seeing place. It is also known as the Chittar palace.
Ghanta Ghar or Clock Tower
Ghanta Ghar is also known as clock tower. It was built 200 years ago by Maharaja Sardar singh and is situated in the centre of Jodhpur city. It is a unique place for the travellers to see along with the markets surrounding it. Many types of people can be seen here. During nights the Ghanta ghar is lit up which gives a splendid look.
Jaswant Thada is lying in Jodhpur. It is a marble monument and is a mausoleum for the kings of Marwar. It was built in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar singh in memory and honour of his father Maharaja Jaswant singh II and is still used by Marwar royal family as cremation ground. There is a beautiful garden located in front of this monument which attracts a large number of tourists. It is also called the Taj Mahal of Marwar and attracts a large number of tourists.
Mandore garden is located 9 km. away from Jodhpur. It is situated in Mandore. It is a part of more massive Mehrangarh fort. Once it was the ruling seat of Pratihara dynasty. The garden also has a government museum.
